'Le Cromlech de Peyrebrune'

About 3.3 kms NW of the Dolmen des Cloups at Ginouillac
is this sorry mess of a stone circle (almost the only one between the Pyrenees and Cornwall)
vandalised when the main road was built in the 19th century.
It now faces a large roundabout, between the D.801 and the N.20,
and is further interfered with by trees - so is best seen in winter, if at all.

Perhaps the only stone not to have been overturned is the large ?outlier at the S end,
marked by a red arrow in the photo.

A peu près 3.3 km au N-O du Dolmen des Cloups, Ginouillac, se trouve ce triste 'cromlech' ou cercle d'orthostats en grès
ébranlé lorsque la route nationale était ouverte. Plusieurs blocs étaient brisés et d'autres renversés.
Un seul orthostat, coté sud et indiqué ci-dessus par la flèche rouge, est peut-ê;tre comme il était toujours.
A voir en hiver.
