On the SW outskirts of Kenmare, 600 metres SW of Cromwell's
Fort (a 17th century castle),
stand fifteen stones (two prostrate) which enclose an oval area over 16 metres
across, i
n the middle of which is a good example of a boulder-burial comprising three
small stones and a large capstone.
It is here seen with cattle in an April shower in the mid nineteen-seventies..
