Lockstown Upper, county Wicklow

This "Hollywood Stone" is in the National Museum of Ireland's collection.
It is a granite boulder under a metre high which was found 5 km SE of the village of Hollywood.

It is generally thought to be Early Iron Age
- but who knows...?

It should perhaps be compared with decorated stones at Cloverhill (Sligo), and Killycluggin (Cavan).

All of these stones might also be compared with the slim monolith at Lankill (Mayo):
