Kerbstone details.

 

Kerbstone number 52 and details of the interior of the tomb.

The photograph above was taken before the recent major 'restoration' of Newgrange.
The stone is at the opposite side of the tumulus to the entrance-stone,
with a similar division in its pattern on either side of a vertical line which is itself in alignment
with the western edge of the first stone of the surrounding circle,
the vertical line of the entrance stone, and the passage into the tumulus.
