The Mound of the Hostages:
a very short or undifferentiated passage-tomb with a rudimentary basin-stone
at the end,
and Loughcrew-style engravings on one stone.
During his research into neolithic art, passage tombs and
astronomy,
Martin Brennan observed that this tombwas orientated so that the rising sun
on the cross-quarter days
(half way between the solstice and the equinoxes) illuminates the back-stone.

The 'bedstead' shadow is of the bars preventing access to the tomb.
