Detail showing how the capstone fits into the portal-stone which is 'shouldered' like other megaliths in county Down,
such as the Standing Stones of Barnmeen and Tamnaharry, and the Portal-tomb at Legananny.
Both those stones are of granite, whereas the other stone in the picture is of Silurian shale, which once overlay the granite of the Mourne Mountains close by.
